Thank you Janis for providing the therapy I needed to deal with my denial about your retirement!

A poignant conversation with lots of laughs and tears. As well as music from her final album, "The Light At The End Of The Line". Plus,  discussion and songs from her long career.

Bring your ears, some tissues and great sound!

Remember so well Society's Child. Now, I am still standing, but oh I long to rest my soul. Thank you. Like a mirror in a lot of ways.

I just saw her webcast from The Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. What an amazing evening it was. The voice is perfect. The honesty was so refreshing. I'm 67. I've seen dozens if not hundreds of live shows. This is right up there. Loved her.

If you want to take a long walk on the Beach, I have to recommend the Oregon Coast. From WA. State, to California our coast line is open to the public. Bring rain gear just in case. Thank you for being a major part youth. I'm 70

Society's Child is a masterpiece - we are still incorporating some of these beautiful sounds into our recordings today. Janis' music is of the highest order; she is a living legend. Love her new album; her voice is ageless.

My life has been so impacted by your writing and performing talent, since a teenager and now as a retiree. It is simply amazing to be able to still relate to your craft as I did 50 years ago. To see you perform live is a thrill I am looking forward to despite the pain and self-realization discoveries of 50 years. Yes indeed, you are still here. I am here too. My deepest respect and gratitude for that!

I know that lots of people love 'At Seventeen' and 'Society's Child', but to me Janis' later work is more interesting. The albums she put out in mid-career - 'Hunger', 'Breaking Silence', 'God and the FBI' and 'Revenge - are wonderful. More details at https://janisian.com/music/
