FM Odyssey - Alison Steele & Rosko Introduce new, legendary format on WNEW-FM: October 29th, 1967

Sixty-seven years ago on this day, October 30th, 1967 at 7:05 PM, my journey through life was literally made known to me, as WNEW-FM in New York began their legendary journey with a format change.

This is the official commercial for that change, introduced by my elders, Alison Steele, not yet known as the Nightbird and Rosko, whose show kicked off the new groove, that very special night.


Alison would begin her flight as the Nightbird, the evening of January 1st, 1968.
